About the Role

The Security Officer / Shuttle Bus Driver ensures the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets while providing reliable transportation services. This dual-role position involves hospital security functions such as security dispatch communications, security camera operations, visitor control systems, fire protection programs, and baby security monitoring. It also includes technical on-site training for security position requirements. Additionally, the role requires operating shuttle buses safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Conduct security checks of buildings, parking lots, and restricted areas.
  • Maintain accurate logs and prepare incident reports.
  • Operate shuttle buses safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Transport employees and visitors between designated locations on schedule.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and passenger count.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as directed by the Security Manager and Security Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Valid Louisiana driver’s license and excellent driving record; CDL preferred.
  • Security or transportation experience preferred.

Schedule

Part-Time
Monday - Friday; 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Pay

Hourly/Non-Exempt
$16.00 – $21.00; based on work experience
