About the Role

As a Security Officer Part Time – Transit in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will act as a Dispatcher supporting a government transportation location, coordinating communications, documenting incidents, monitoring activity, and directing appropriate responses to security‑related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit agency personnel, passengers, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor radio, telephone, alarm, camera, and/or other communications systems; receive calls for service and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with established protocols.
• Document calls, incidents, service requests, and communications accurately and maintain detailed dispatch logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor activity across transit facilities and coordinate routine and emergency response activities to help deter unauthorized activity and support continuity of operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state and/or local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
