About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to emerging situations. You will engage riders, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transit personnel and public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Hold an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay
$25.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 08:00 AM
