Security Officer Part Time - Bus Depot

About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to riders, employees, and visitors. Bring at least six months of security-related experience and contribute to a caring, agile team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and transit personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, bus staging areas, platforms, access points, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious behavior or unattended property, and communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and maintain professional communication with transit operations personnel and public agency representatives.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.87 - $18.87 / hour
Schedule
- Day shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
