Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit locations, public access areas, platforms, facilities, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support government location operations by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A law enforcement officer license is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
