About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Warren, MI, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and operations. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer service will help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and oncoming personnel.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Alarm panel experience.

Pay

$23.98 / hour

• Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
