About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location in Rolling Meadows, IL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring your active DoD Secret Clearance and contribute with integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements; report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
