About the role

As a Security Officer Secure Entry Verification in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage. You will manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe inbound and outbound truck, delivery, and employee traffic; report access irregularities, damaged barriers, or unauthorized entry attempts to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
