As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Document access-related incidents, irregularities, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour
- Schedule: Saturday 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sunday 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM
