About the role

As a Security Officer Secure Entry Monitor in Edison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site access for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize access for approved personnel, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity according to location policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, dock spaces, parking areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry, loss-related activity, and policy violations by observing site operations, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating clearly with employees, vendors, and/or transportation personnel.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
