About the role
As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while delivering service with integrity, teamwork, and care in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials, and document visitor activity in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
- Assist with badge or credential checks, visitor processing, and routine reporting while maintaining professional interactions in a healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.

$16.53 / hour

- Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
