Security Officer Entry Point Monitor

About the role

As a Security Officer Entry Point Monitor in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges, and support access control procedures that help promote a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points by checking credentials, verifying scheduled arrivals and departures, and documenting visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
• Support daily location operations by communicating with site personnel, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
