About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
- Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures for a chemical and petrochemical industrial location.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access control areas, entry gates, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$17.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday availability required
