Security Officer - Second Shift Weekdays

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Loss Prevention in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist with loss prevention awareness. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and help maintain a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with customer concerns, disturbances, and potential loss-prevention-related matters.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stockroom areas, entrances, parking areas, and business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$18.50 / Hour

DayTime: Mon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM, Tue 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM, Wed 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM, Thu 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM, Fri 12:00 PM - 07:00 PM
