The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Verification in Indianapolis, IN, you will have a reliable base schedule at an assigned site with the ability to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role offers part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next, with the flexibility to scale back when needed, and the opportunity to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

$17.22 per hour

• Monday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out site‑specific procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with established access‑control and screening procedures.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
