About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Verification in Edison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening individuals and monitoring access points using computer or tablet tools to document activity, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements and access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and report access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, offices, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
