As a Security Officer Part Time Screening Verification in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related screening protocols at a technology and logistics location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and personal belongings in accordance with established access control procedures, escalating prohibited items or irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and reporting requirements.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and access credentials to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, documenting observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.
