Security Officer Screening Technician

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Edgerton, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced tech location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals, visitor credentials, and/or personal belongings at designated access points in accordance with site procedures and escalation guidelines.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, noting security-related concerns and helping to support order throughout the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
