Security Officer Screening Support

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location in Sunnyvale, TX, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with loss prevention awareness by reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support opening and closing activities, help with crowd and line monitoring during busy periods, and provide directions or assistance to guests in a professional manner.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• X-ray screening experience.

Pay

$18.54 / hour

• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
