As a Security Officer Enhanced Screening Support in Delray Beach, FL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and permitted belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items or irregularities and notify appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into controlled areas in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years of security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$19.85 / hour

• DayTime: Monday, 11:00 AM - 07:30 PM (fixed anchor shift)
