Security Officer Screening Specialist
About the role
Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor site access, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and site procedures, and report unusual findings to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and activities as required.
- Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and other designated locations to help support authorized entry and the orderly flow of people and materials.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining alert to unauthorized activity, damaged equipment, and/or conditions that could require a security-related response.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
