As a Security Officer Screening Inspection in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part-time position offers flexibility with the ability to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting unusual activity. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to maintain an orderly environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and personal items in accordance with established procedures, using assigned screening equipment and documenting prohibited or unauthorized items when applicable.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into restricted operational areas, and direct visitors and vendors to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.89 per hour.

• Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
