As a Security Officer Screening Compliance in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a government facility.
- Screen individuals and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures, identifying prohibited items or irregularities and reporting findings according to established protocols.
- Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious conditions.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years of security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
