Security Officer - Screening Attendant

About the role

As a Screening Attendant at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Phoenix, AZ, you will help support access control by screening personnel and visitors, verifying badges, and reporting suspicious activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain an orderly environment. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling opportunities through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site procedures and applicable access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and help control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the business, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, while documenting observations and irregularities.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Pay

$19.92 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
