Security Officer Screening Associate

About the Role

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Fairbanks, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government court location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional, welcoming experience for all who enter. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and assist with routine security-related procedures while working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, employees, and/or authorized personnel entering the location using approved equipment and established entry procedures.
• Monitor entrances, identify prohibited items, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent observation and professional interaction.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site policies and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns as appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $22.38 / Hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
