Security Officer Screening Associate

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will help monitor access, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies, helping to support authorized entry and identify unusual activity.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document screening-related information with attention to detail and professionalism.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations as assigned, noting conditions and reporting concerns to site leadership.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications
