What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and customer assistance practices within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, stockroom corridors, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor for shoplifting indicators, trespassing, loitering, and/or other policy violations, and document observations while supporting loss prevention and security-related response efforts.
• Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and/or evacuation support when appropriate, while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
