Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to verify authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine concerns, and communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders during incidents or medical emergencies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
