Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, completing required reports, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Licenses and certifications: Guard card/license, CPR certification, access control/badge experience, customer service experience.
• Background check and drug screen: Required as a condition of employment.
