About the role

As a Security Officer Retail Vehicle Patrol in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail mall, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations throughout the retail location in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations, and report findings according to site procedures.
• Assist with crowd management, access control, and incident documentation while maintaining a visible presence to help deter prohibited activity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
