Security Officer Property Access

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Darlington, SC. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and badge processes, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving role offers the opportunity to use your communication and technology skills while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$15.00 / Hour

• Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Friday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Saturday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
