Security Officer Perimeter Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Defuniak Springs, FL, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, package or freight-area irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle, employee, visitor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.54 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
• Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
