Security Officer Perimeter Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and assist with visitor processing, delivery oversight, and other security-related support functions aligned with site protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and communicating observations, concerns, and/or policy issues to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
• Computer or tablet proficiency.
• Age 18 or older for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
