Security Officer - Perfect job for retirees or mature individuals who would enjoy working in the hospitality industry.

Minimum Skills and Abilities Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work well with others in achieving goals of the Security Department.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
• Can effectively work under pressure.
• Can communicate clearly to others.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, walk stairs, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.
• Guard, patrol, monitor, and authorize entrance and departure of employees, owners, guests, and other persons in Brett/Robinson properties.
• Guard against theft and maintain security of premises, respond to emergencies/alarms, and assist with hospitality issues.
• Raise/lower American Flags and beach condition flags (as required).
• Notify police/fire departments in case of emergency situations.
• Notify Gulf Corp Services Facilities of any elevator malfunction.
• Monitor Security Cameras covering the assigned property.
• Complete reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
• Provide information, directions, and courteous assistance to condominium owners and guests.
• Assist with parking. Monitor parking passes during patrols. Report issues to the building Rental Manager.
• Assist Rental Manager with ejections.

Working Conditions

• Uniform apparel required.
• Clothes must fit properly, be washed, and pressed, and not have holes.
• Maintain personal hygiene with neat appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards.
• Work environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
• Able to work flexible hours, 40 hours per week according to seasonal needs.
