Security Officer - Security
Summary of Position
Responsible for Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine on-campus and off-campus locations. Duties include, but are not limited to, security incident investigation, crisis response, combative patient intervention, safety-related emergency response, monitoring of advanced access control and surveillance systems. Provide for the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, students, buildings, assets, and premises.
Minimum Qualification(s)
- High School diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of job related experience or a combination of equivalent related education and/or experience required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)
- Security experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Advanced understanding of complex security access control and surveillance systems preferred.
- Understanding of and experience with Act 235 preferred.
