About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Watch in Johnston, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity as part of an innovative team committed to a caring culture and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
- Support a professional environment at a technology-focused location by observing daily operations, assisting visitors and staff with routine questions, and escalating security-related concerns when appropriate.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
