About the role

As a Part-Time Patrol Surveillance Security Officer in Manchester, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected theft, medical situations, and store policy concerns.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document incidents, patrols, and observations accurately in accordance with site procedures and complete required reports.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
