Security Officer Patrol Surveillance

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Reno, NV, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, observation, and timely reporting.
This is a part-time position with the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- A Private Investigator License, Unarmed, is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
