Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

  • DayTime: Mon 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM, Tue 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Wed 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized access, observe site conditions, and support daily operations with professional presence and clear communication.
  • Aid in reporting maintenance-related issues, policy violations, and other property concerns discovered during patrols, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
