Security Officer Patrol Specialist

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access control, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key access points, helping to manage visitor activity, observe for suspicious behavior, and support established property rules and after-hours procedures.
• Assist with alarm response, building access issues, and tenant-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence within a commercial real estate location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
