What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and assist with checking credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns.
• Support daily campus operations by reporting maintenance issues, securing unattended areas when directed, and providing general assistance during events, after-hours activity, and/or special assignments.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
