What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, students, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy public-facing location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to enforce site rules regarding entry, visitor activity, and/or after-hours access while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support day-to-day operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and by providing clear directions and assistance to people on site.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
