Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and/or delivery traffic to help maintain orderly operations at the location while following post orders and client-directed protocols.
  • Aid with incident reporting, communication of policy concerns, and follow-up on security-related issues observed during patrols or while stationed at assigned posts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
