Security Officer Patrol Operations

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location in Winnemucca, NV, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, patrols, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

$20.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Monday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
