Security Officer Patrol Mission Clearance Required
About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Mission Clearance Required in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading research-focused location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with location protocols and research-related property control practices.
- Support after-hours coverage by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and communicating maintenance, life system, and/or policy-related issues as they arise.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
- A Virginia DCJS License is required for positions in Virginia only.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
