Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming campus environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and helping to address security-related concerns during routine and special event operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
