About the role
As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with crowd flow, line management, and/or closing procedures as directed by site leadership.
- Support loss prevention and other security-related efforts by documenting incidents, communicating with local management, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
- Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.
Skills
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and disturbances.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets.
