About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Route in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is a driving post where you may conduct mobile patrols and respond to site needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify access permissions when required, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols.
- Support site personnel and first responders during alarms, emergencies, and/or special situations by following post instructions and communicating status updates as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
