Security Officer - Patrol Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an industrial chemical processing location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support access control procedures for employees, contractors, deliveries, and other authorized personnel.
- Support emergency and incident response by following post orders, assisting with site notifications, and coordinating with responding personnel during chemical plant-related events and/or operational disruptions.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
