Security Officer Patrol Detail

About the Role

As a Security Officer Patrol Detail in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support tenants, visitors, and property operations while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, and communicate with building staff regarding deliveries, service requests, and/or after-hours access.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-down notes related to security-related observations, patrols, and/or customer service interactions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Schedule: Daytime, Wednesday through Sunday, 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
